Looking for both friendly, local service and a robust server environment?
Our server is co-located at a facility with redundant OC-48 fiber Sonnet Ring connections to ten backbone providers and is monitored 24 hours a day.
Even small businesses have wonderful web pages these days. We can help you set up an affordable web presence. Our basic small business hosting fee is $100 per year, plus a one-time setup fee of $50 (which will include domain registration for a year if needed). This includes your own domain (www.mysite.com), up to 20 email accounts at your domain (joe@mysite.com) and ftp access so you can make changes to your page at any time of the day or night. Should your site become hugely successful, there can be additional fees for bandwidth (lots of people downloading lots of data). We will automatically re-register your domain (www.mydomain.com) for $35 for additional years or you may do it yourself. We used to encourage customers to register it themselves until several forgot to renew and lost their domain names. Since we register many each month, it frequently works better to let us handle the job. Your call.
Once you have set up your account with us, either you or we will need to point the world to your site. This is done by having the registering service set up the DNS record for the domain as follows:
Note: Most registrars no longer need the IP addresses (207.178.128.20 & 21) and just ask for the URL's (ns1.iswest.net and ns2.iswest.net).
After that, you'll need to upload the pages you have created to your site. We conduct classes in the evening to help you do this yourself, or we will create a site for you, for an additional charge.
Our server is housed in the latest, state-of-the-art facility, with several hours of battery backup, a generator for another day of electricity, redundant OC-48 fiber Sonnet Ring connections to ten backbone providers and is monitored 24 hours a day.
Should you wish to set up your own server with the same connection as ours, we can set you up for $400 per month, plus the cost of the server.
