More Help

VCC offers online help to our customers. When you download a small file from our server and start the Helpline, we can take over your desktop just like we were sitting at your computer so we can find and solve problems. If you need our online help, please call us at (805) 289-3960 first to schedule a session and then login into VCC Helpline, download the file and start your session. When we close out the session, there are no setup files, nothing running in the background and no way for anyone to get back in. The only way someone can take over your computer using this tool is for you to start the program yourself.

Rick Smith writes a regular column in the Channel Islands PC User Group monthly newsletter, TOE, called "Rick's Rants." His recent Rants are listed in the right column.

Toby Scott does a live Question & Answer session at the monthly club meetins which are transcribed and posted in TOE. Some of his more recent Q&A's are listed on the right, below.

If you want to learn about computers, be sure to join the Channel Islands PC Users Group (CIPCUG). This is the best source for group-help in the county. With over 200 members, there is tons of expertise and lots of willing help.

In addition, we have written articles which are listed below and which may be useful to some:
Backup An article on different backup strategies a home or small business could use.
Financial Resources An article on where to find various financial resources on the web.
The Future of Computers An article Toby wrote on what he thinks a computer will look like in 5 years.
