Fax machines are rapidly being replaced by email. Fax traffic is down sharply over the past 5 years and will continue to decline. If your employees don't have their own email accounts to use when communicating with customers, you are losing business. Anything that can be sent by fax can be sent faster and cheaper via email. And lots of things that are a huge pain when sent by fax (a large spreadsheet is just one example) are a joy when received as an email attachment, which can be clicked on and used immediately. PDF files that are not editable by the end user can easily be sent via email, for proposals and the like where you are interested in document integrity.
Your business should have its own domain (mybusiness.com). There are three reasons for this: (1) It looks more professional than having an email address of mybusiness@aol.com or similar). (2) The large companies are merging and this frequently necessitates changing email addresses. Having your own domain name is hugely cheaper than reprinting all your letterhead, business cards and brochures every time your Internet provider changes his email name. (3) You own your own domain and can move it. If you don't like the way one ISP handles your account, you can move to any one of tens of thousands of other providers. The name will never change, you control who has accounts and where it is hosted.
With modern routers, you can restrict who does what to prevent employees wasting time playing games and checking sports scores. Yet they can still check their email and visit suppliers' web sites. We can set this up for your business.
